Coach Mimo has been an Alpharetta Shark since 1993. In the off season, she is a mom to Cooper and Noah, a wife, and a math teacher at Milton High School. This is her 20th summer as head coach for the Sharks, after being an assistant for 3 years. She also coached the Milton swim team for 9 years. In 2010, 2013, and 2022 she was named Atlanta Swimming Coach of the Year. In 2024 she had the honor of being named Milton High School Teacher of the Year as well as Fulton County High School Teacher of the Year. She has a true passion for the sport of swimming and teaching kids, and loves being a part of the Shark family every summer!
Hello!! My name is Mary Brown, I am 19 years old, and I am so excited to be the head coach for The Alpharetta Sharks this summer! I am lucky enough to have swum on the Sharks from ages 5-18 and have been a coach for the past two years! Some fun facts about me are that I am currently a freshman at Kennesaw State University, where I swim on the club team! I love being outside on a nice day, and my favorite color is blue! Cole Szpindor has been swimming with the Alpharetta Sharks for 12 years and swam competitively with the Alpharetta YMCA team for 9 years. He just graduated from Chattahoochee High School where he was on the Varsity Swim Team. In the fall, he will be starting college as a Biomedical Sciences major on the pre-med track. This is his third year as an assistant coach, and he is excited to continue sharing his love for the sport with younger swimmers. Having been a Shark for over a decade, Cole is especially looking forward to helping swimmers improve their skills while making lasting summer memories. He can’t wait for another great season with the Sharks!
Hey! My name is Kaleigh Greene I am a senior at Milton High School! I have been swimming for the Sharks since I was 13 but I’ve been swimming competitively since I was 9. I am currently swimming at Swim Atlanta. My favorite strokes are fly and free! This will be my first season as a Sharks coach and I’m super excited for a great season! Go Sharks!
Hello sharks!!! My name is Lyla Elliott and this is my 8th year on the Alpharetta sharks swim team, and my very first year as an assistant coach. I’m a rising junior at Milton High School, and was on the Varsity swim team for the past 2 years. I’ve been swimming year-round since I was 9 or 10, and I’m currently at Swim Atlanta. Some facts about me: My favorite strokes are freestyle and backstroke, I LOVE dogs, I have 3 siblings also on the summer swim team. I’m beyond excited and grateful to coach this year, I hope to have a lasting impact on my fellow sharks! Get ready for a great season!!!!
Hi, I’m Daniel, and I’m a rising junior at Milton High School. This will be my sixth year swimming for the Sharks. I also compete for the Milton High School varsity swim team and previously swam with the SwimAtlanta club program. Outside the pool, I enjoy weightlifting, spending time with my dog, and learning about meteorology. A fun fact about me is that I can juggle four balls.
Campen Dawes has been swimming since he was 5 and has been with the sharks for 10 years. He has done year-round swim at the YMCA, Swim Atlanta, and has found his place at Lifetime Swim. He is on his high school varsity swim team. He loves reading a good book and hanging out with his friends. He is excited to help everyone improve their strokes and hopes to help everyone have a great season.
Jocelyn Donlan has been a swimmer with the Alpharetta Sharks sense age 9 and is so excited to step into a coaching position for the team! She has swam competitively with swim Atlanta for the past 3 years, as well as the Varsity team at Valor Christian Academy. Jocelyn is a rising junior and is so excited to work with the Sharks this year! Go Sharks!
Frances is excited to join the Alpharetta Sharks as an assistant coach this summer—her first season on deck! She has been a proud Shark since age 11. She has also swum with Swim Atlanta and for the Varsity team at Valor Christian Academy. Frances is passionate about creating an environment where swimmers improve their skills, build confidence, and have a really great time. Outside of swimming, she is a Black Belt and assistant instructor at her karate dojo and marches with The King's Academy marching band. Fun Fact: She plays 9 different instruments, loves crafting, and has a crazy hobby of collecting hubcaps! She's looking forward to an exciting summer helping the team grow and make great memories!
Syon is a returning Alpharetta Sharks swimmer who has been swimming at the Sharks for the last 8 years. Outside of the Sharks, Syon swims for Denmark High School and the YMCA. In his free time, he likes going to the gym, playing outside with his friends and getting on video games. He is excited this season to help everyone improve and have a fun time!
