I hope everyone is doing well!! Can you believe that Shark season is just around the corner?? Registration opens tomorrow for city residents!!  

I wanted to send out a few updates in regards to this season. This e-mail is only going to returning families from the 2020 season (and a few new families) so please feel free to forward on to anyone who you think may be interested in swimming this summer!

Registration

• Pre-registration is now open on SwimTopia website
  • New and Returning members may sign up for 2021 season using registration link
  • New members will get access to website and team e-mails.
  • You may send Coach Mimo an e-mail to opt out at any time: [email protected]
  • There is no fee to register on SwimTopia
  • This is a mandatory part of signing up for the team
• Registration with City of Alpharetta for residents - March 3rd
• Registration with City of Alpharetta for non residents - March 17th
• Registration deadline - April 30th

Practice Schedule

Due to the uncertainty of Covid-19 and the impact it will have on our summer, to be safe we are going to continue to only allow athletes on deck during practice times. We will have an efficient drop off/pick up line that must be used during the specified times. Please note, that this is subject to change based on pool availability, weather, or other circumstances. Meet Schedule

As of right now, the Atlanta Swimming Association is anticipating having swim meets weekly. We are still unsure what these will look like, but they will most likely all be virtual meets with both teams swimming at their home pool.

We plan to live stream meets for parents to be able to access. We are also working on logistics to be able to allow spectators on deck for meets.

Volunteering

As in the past, swim meets require parent volunteers in order to run smoothly. However, due to Covid-19, our volunteer requirements may look different again this year. Please be aware that by signing up for swim team, you are committing to volunteering at meets this season as needed.

Pre-season Swim Clinics

The YMCA is hosting a Summer League Prep to help work on strokes and technique before the season begins. I have attached a flyer with more information.
